Village Winery and Vineyards  Fun Facts

|1.| They make Elderberry Wine, Sparkling Elderberry and Elderberry Syrups. They like using elderberries because they have 17 times more flavonoids than raspberries or strawberries and are thought to be highly medicinal.
|2.| They have a bank barn adjoining their winery’s tasting room, which was built in the mid- 1700s and was burned down to its foundation by Sheridan’s army in November 1864 during the Civil War burning raid of Loudoun County. It was rebuilt 10 years later.
|3.| They have their tasting room and 10 acres of vineyard walking distance from the Historic Landmark Village of Waterford.
|4.| They grow their own grapes and make their own wine. The owner, grower and winemaker is personally available in the tasting room every weekend to share his hand-made wines and answer questions.
